We are currently searching for a full-time shop lot attendant/Sales Assistant in San Diego, CA.  You would be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, assisting customers, and moving motorcycles.  Key responsibilities include customer service, communication, and organization.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Keeping the lot clean and organized: This includes moving bikes as directed, cleaning the lot, and ensuring bikes are properly displayed
  • Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with any needs related to the lot or directing people to appropriate departments
  • Moving vehicles: Moving motorcycles from display areas to storage as needed
  • Other duties: May include washing bikes, delivering bikes, and assisting with sales needs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience is not necessary
  • Ability to present oneself as well, representing GP in a professional manner
  • Approachable, likable, and enthusiastic personality
  • Ability to get along with a broad customer base
  • Must have a high level of energy, self-motivated, positive, driven, and possess the desire to help customers
  • Passion for the motorcycling lifestyle and riding community
  • GP Motorcycles will train you on specific products and the sales processes
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record: This is essential for moving vehicles
  • Motorcycle endorsement: While not always mandatory, having motorcycle endorsement can be beneficial
  • Customer service skills: The ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Communication skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Physical ability: The role will require some physical exertion, such as pushing and maneuvering motorcycles
  • Basic Motorcycle knowledge:  While not always required, familiarity with motorcycles can be an asset

GP Motorcycles is a high-end, fast-paced, European motorcycle dealership located in downtown in San Diego, CA. We are a franchised dealer for the following brands: Ducati, BSA, KTM, Husqvarna, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and SWM. We are actively seeking a highly-qualified individual to manage our GP Online Storefront and our eBay business.

The ideal applicant will be:

Pre-requisites:

  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce, with emphasis in eBay marketing and sales.
  • Experience in the motorcycle and/or automotive fields preferred.
  • High School Diploma (required), some college experience welcomed.
  • Outstanding computer skills and ability to self-learn new systems required.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Punctual.
  • Team player, organized, and ability to prioritize.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage eBay and online/e-commerce sales (including and new/used parts/apparel/accessories);
  • Process all online orders from Shopify and Ebay daily. Manage any questions asked and offers received by customers;
  • Maintain and expand current customer base and process orders received from email/ecommerce customers and independent shops;
  • Continuously find and list new/used items to put for sale on Shopify and Ebay. Work towards listing goals as directed by management;
  • Provide regular monthly reports;
  • Regularly answer emails sent to the esales address, questions asked on Shopify, and messages received through Ebay, and assist with parts department phone calls as needed;
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of ecommerce areas;
  • Regularly leave good feedback for customers on Ebay;
  • Provide general support to parts department as needed, including managing shipping companies and claims and work with the parts manager for new items/accessories to list, reports to run to assist as needed, etc;
  • Assist parts department with the posting of events/sales/specials on social media platforms;
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Full-time position, Tuesday-Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by treating customers professionally, respectfully, and empathetically
  • Answer phone calls and emails expeditiously
  • Always ensure technicians have multiple units and jobs staged and ready for work
  • Perform service writing check-in and check-out duties for service department customers (internal and external)
  • Advise and upsell on requested, required and additional services for every unit
  • Check every unit’s vin for open repair orders, history as needed, and for open recalls or service updates (TSBs)
  • Perform preliminary check procedure to document current condition, pre-existing damages, required warranty documentation, and to address basic service items and safety issues during intake
  • Understand the legalities of writing service repair orders and handling warranty repairs (BAR, lemon laws, etc.)
  • Perform regular follow-up with open jobs and update the service schedule/notify clients when reminders or changes are needed
  • Maintain open communication channels between the client and insurance companies to ensure repairs are handled efficiently
  • Maintain general service department cleanliness and organization
  • Ensure the service department is ready for operation at 9am and is closed for operation at 6pm
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as needed and/or assigned

Prerequisites and Skills:

  • Must have Valid Class C driver’s license; Valid M1/M2 endorsement preferred
  • Must be insurable, with a clean driving record
  • 2-5 years of experience in the motorcycle and/or automotive field preferred
  • Familiarity with CDK Lightspeed preferred
  • Service writing experience preferred
  • General mechanical background preferred
  • Punctuality, customer service, communication, prioritization, problem solving, organization, and computer/technology skills are needed to excel in this role

Pay and Benefits:

  • Base pay + commission structure. Annual pay range*: $45,000-$75,000

GP Motorcycles is a very busy all-European motorcycle dealership located in sunny San Diego. We are in need of a full-time service technician with experience working with such Euro brands as Ducati, KTM, Husqvarna, Aprilia or Moto Guzzi.

The ideal applicant with be:

Pre-requisites:

  • Must have at least 5 years working with European motorcycles, previous factory certification a plus;
  • Must have valid motorcycle drivers license;
  • Must be insurable with a clean driving record.
